VMware Explore 2023 is going to Barcelona – and the Ascend Cloud Solutions team is going too. Find out what we're bringing to the table this November.

Autumn is upon us, and here at Ascend Cloud Solutions we're packing our bags for a trip to Barcelona. But we're not embarking on an out-of-season break – instead, we're heading to VMware Explore 2023 to rep for the Irish cloud community.

Explore is VMware's flagship event – a conference bringing together industry experts and clients to discuss and learn about "all things multi-cloud".

We'll be there from the 6th to the 9th of November, exchanging ideas with our industry peers and thinking through the challenges and opportunities the cloud will bring in the coming years.

Are you attending? Then come and find us. We'd love to pick your brains about the ever-changing world of cloud computing – and tell you in more detail about our service offerings.

What you need to know

VMware Explore is a four-day event for multi-cloud experts and VMware clients running from the 6th to the 9th of November 2023. In its own words, it "aims to facilitate new relationships, inspire learning, and provide hands-on training and access to thought leadership in the multi-cloud space."

For us, it's a key date in the calendar. Ascend grew out of VMware – from stints working there to our four years working to design, construct and support VMware-based cloud deployments for customers at home and abroad.

We're excited to join in the festival of ideas and deepen our knowledge of multi-cloud environments and infrastructure.

A bit more about us

If you don't know us already, we're a close-knit team based in Ireland with the skill set to deliver a wide range of cloud consultancy services – starting with the more than 400 successful migrations we've delivered.

We also deal with data centre evacuation and consolidation, virtual networking, cloud adoption and workload repatriation or de-platforming – and we bring our deep, niche knowledge to bear on our clients' unique business needs.

While we started here in Ireland, we now have three international offices to ensure 24/7 coverage and support – and we've partnered up with several global enterprise cloud providers. This allows us to design and optimise private clouds as well as offer enterprise-grade technical support across the world.

What's next for VMware and the cloud?

We've been watching the earliest stages of VMware Explore like hawks – and we're more than a bit excited about its focus on multi-cloud and edge computing, product lifecycle management and cloud-native app performance and management.

At a time when around 70% of CIOs are developing cloud-native apps and "multi-cloud" is increasingly just another word for cloud, we're familiar with this terrain and psyched to learn more about it from industry peers and clients alike.

So if you're at VMware Barcelona, come and say hi. We'd love to share ideas about the changing face of the cloud across the world. Just keep your eyes peeled for these three faces…
